BEATRICE SEGOLINI

BEATRICE SEGOLINI is a polyedric artist, film editor and director born in Italy in 1991.

She first approached documentary cinema while studying Sociology at the University in Trento, focusing on qualitative research, social psychology and visual anthropology. During the same years she engaged into several partecipative video projects and started working with local production companies. A second degree in Film Editing at the Zelig Documentary Film School (Bolzano, IT) will come soon after. In 2016 she directed, edited and starred her autobiographical feature documentary “The Good Intentions”, awarded with several prizes. In the following years, she edited several documentaries for cinema and tv between Italy, Belgium and Germany. Alongside her work as an editor in conventional film industry, since 2018 she started her experimentation between different media and languages by co-founding the DOGSTAR2 artistic duo together with musician and visual artist Joachim Planer. Her current focus is to expand her artistic horizons and embrace art, documentary and storytelling at their broadest.
